Personal info:

I have always enjoyed doing some form of physical activity. From around 5 years of age to my high school years, swimming and running were my favorite activities. Weight training was introduced to me in 8th grade, I loved the feeling it gave me. I continued to lift weights most of my life; however, it was the year I turned 40 (2011) when I learned how to actually train. I have been studying and practicing yoga for 17 years it has been a passion of mine. If I am not teaching or practicing, I am reading, researching, taking a workshop or training.

Training Philosophy:

Educate, encourage and motivate are how I train an individual or a whole class. When I come up with a plan for a class, I make sure it’s geared towards the middle. Once I have determined the skill level of the participants, I adjust the class. I believe it is important to know how to help all levels of fitness. There is no such thing as “can’t”, maybe you are not there yet, you are working on it or you have no desire and that is OK. I have learned through the years to ask a lot (not expect) of people and they will give you all they can. If you only ask for a little, you will get less.
