CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

AOA-ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS:

Move through a variety of exercises designed to increase aerobic conditioning, improve muscular strength, range of motion, and skills required during activities of daily living.  Low impact moves, hand weights, and exercise bands are offered for resistance.

BARRE:
A combination of postures inspired by Ballet, Yoga and Pilates.  Light handheld weights are often used for isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range of motion movements. A barre, or other support can be used for balance.  Suitable for all levels of fitness.

BOOM CYCLE:
Let the beat of the music guide you thru this energetic and challenging 60 minute cycle class. All music genres and all levels are welcome!

CYCLE AND SHRED:
Combining intense bike work and a variety of high intensity cardio exercises to help burn fat and increase cardio endurance in a fun, motivating way…the fat will burn away while strengthening the legs, hips, and glutes.

CARDIO CONDITIONING EXPRESS:
An extreme cardio workout for the total body, Incorporating a variety of formats such as Bootcamp, Kickbox, Circuit, and Tabata…will Guarantee to push you to your limits!  Classes will consist of targeting strength, core, stability, cardio, plyometrics, and agility.  This is an Express class…only 45 minutes in duration…don’t let that fool you!

CYCLE & CORE:
Burn fat while increasing leg strength thru intervals of high and low intensities using bikes.  Combo class also working abdominal area.  A strong body and better posture.  Sculpt your midsection as you improve your overall functional strength and balance.

CYCLE INTERVAL:
Burn fat while increasing strength thru intervals of high and low intensities using the bikes and strength equipment.

CYCLING:
Indoor cycling in a group format.  The instructor leads you through a ride consisting of techniques, levels and visualization of being on the open road.  Work at your own level. New riders arrive early to set up your bike.

CYCLE EXPRESS
30 minute intensified cycle class to get your heart rate up with motivation and a quick calorie burn. Suitable for all fitness levels.

STRENGTH & CYCLING:
Combining intense bike work with a variety of high intensity strength exercises to help sculpt your muscles and increase your cardio vascular endurance with bike work.

EVERYBODY’S BOOTCAMP:
An extreme military – inspired workout, built on the fundamentals of cardio, strength, core, and agility.  With a mix of cardio and strength building Circuits with little rest, this bootcamp will target your whole body to burn as much fat as possible.

GUNS, BUNS & CORE:
If your looking to sculpt those arms, lift and firm those glutes, and strengthen that core…this is your class!

INTRO TO MYZONE:
If you have been wondering what’s it like to take a Myzone class in our functional training room, this 30 minute intro class is for you. A gentler pace and modifications of the exercises seen in our more intense Myzone classes make up this workout. This class will increase your confidence, strength and cardiovascular fitness. All fitness levels are welcome and heart rete monitors not required.

KETTLEBELL STRENGTH & BURN:
For all fitness & age levels, this 45 minute class uses Kettlebells to promote functional strength & muscular endurance. Classes begin with a dynamic Warm up followed by 10-15 minutes of instruction in proper technique of required movements & their progressions to prepare each individual for a 20-30 minute total body workout. Each class offers a unique combination of strength exercises & kettlebell movements for a fun, low impact workout That challenges your strength & burns calories!

KICKBOX BOOTCAMP:
Do you like to punch, kick and sweat?  Develop strong core and great skills as you burn calories in a fun, motivating way.  Complete killer Body workout that will make you come back for more.

MADD DOG SPIN:
Riding flat roads to steep hills in a class designed to provide you with optimal fat burning, strength building and core toning.  This ride will simulate varied terrain to give you a great interval work out.  Burn up to 600 – 700 calories in 1hr class.

PILATES:
“Change happens through movement and movement heals.”- Joseph Pilates.  Pilates is a form of strength and flexibility training that can be performed at any

Fitness level. The Pilates method strengthens and lengthens the muscles, and improves, balance, and flexibility. Developing core strength is the foundation of Pilates exercise, which helps prevent and rehabilitate back pain and injuries. Mats and other equipment including mini stability balls and Pilates circles are provided, however, you may bring your own Yoga/Pilates mat.

POWER PUMP:
One hour class to teach proper lifting techniques using barbells and plates.  Designed to firm, tone, strengthen and define muscles of the arms, shoulders, abs, chest, back, and legs.

SIX PACK ATTACK:
Let’s face it – everyone wants great abs!  Let us chisel your core!  This is the class for you if you want to get rid of back fat, love handles and muffin tops!  A 45 minute strictly AB class using different equipment each week to target different angles of the midsection.  This class will pull the belly in from the inside tightening the internal belt resulting in better posture.

POUND:
Get loose, get energized and rock out with this modifiable full body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements using lightly weighted drumsticks. Designed for all fitness levels.

ZUMBA:
This class is a fusion of Latin, Hip-Hop and International music-dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.  The routines performed in Zumba focus on the core as well as total body toning.  This is a 45 minute cardio class for ages, body types and fitness leveles.  This class can be an intense cardio workout that is also extremely fun!!!

EXTREME HIIT CHAOS
Prepare yourself for an extreme calorie burning, muscle stimulating, high intensity experience. Push yourself to the limits using your body weight and an assortment of strength equipment. Low impact options provided, suitable for all fitness levels.

KICKIN’ STRENGTH
Build strength with weights and improve your cardio with rounds of challenging Tabata Kickboxing moves. Suitable for all fitness levels.

BODYPUMP:
The original barbell class that shapes, tones and strengthens your entire body. This 60 minute addictive workout challenges all of your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises such as squats, presses, lifts and curls. Focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements, you’ll burn fat, gain strength and quickly produce lean body muscle conditioning

BOOTY CAMP:
An interval training class that mixes body weight exercises with cardio….a combination that focuses on lower body and core strengthening.

H.I.I.T. CIRCUIT:
High energy total body workout! This class offers stations of strength, cardio and core exercises with intervals of HIIT plyometric and cardio drills. You’ll Be sure to sweat, be challenged and have fun!

LIT:
Enjoy getting your heart rate up, building strength and cardiovascular endurance but don’t enjoy the high impact that often goes with it? This class is designed for you! Light on impact but big with results!

STEP JAM:
Your favorite steps moves are taken to the next level! Enjoy rhythm variations, directional changes, stomps and turns. Join in on this fun workout that utilizes a step and create choreography.

STRENGTH:
This strength workout targets all major muscle groups with dumbbells, bands and various equipment. It improves muscle strength and endurance.

STRONG BY ZUMBA:
Burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs and glutes. Body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training are synced to music designed to match every single move. Get strong with moves like burpees, jumping jacks, lunges, squats and kickboxing and be challenged to the max.

TOTAL BODY STRENGTH:
Participants will work with a variety of weights for toning and strengthening. This class concentrates on the whole body.

TABATA STRENGTH:
Tabata inspired class featuring strength and cardio intervals. Weights, plyometrics, body weight exercises and other training techniques may be included. All fitness levels welcome.

YOGA:
Yoga classes feature traditional Hath-based yoga for the mind-body experience. These sessions improve flexibility, increase strength and help to reduce stress

PILATES:
Gain flexibility while toning your body and tightening your core. Varied breathing techniques will also help to tighten those abs!

ZUMBA:
Get your body shaking, hips swinging and body tined with Latin modern dance rhythms. The rhythms are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Come have a super fun time in this one hour class with nonstop smiles. Great for all levels, no dance experience necessary.

CARDIO KICKBOXING FUSION:
Kickboxing combined with resistance training using bands and dumbbells will give you the ultimate workout! 45 min. class suitable for all fitness levels
