PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

I have participated in sports and fitness my whole life.  I played at an elite volleyball level, winning two national championships, am a three time All American, and AAU National Most Valuable Player.  I continued my love of sports/fitness well after my volleyball days ended.  I began running in my mid-40s and completed numerous half marathons and the Chicago Marathon.

I have worked at a leading global banking institution for 40+ years.  I’ve managed individuals and team projects that require establishing goals, collaborating to develop and execute a plan to attain those goals. Although it’s a different industry, the process of establishing and attaining fitness goals is no different.

TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

I am passionate about health and fitness.  I strive to be an example, particularly for women in the 50+ age group. Aging isn’t a reason to settle for being unfit.  As I’ve aged, I’ve learned the hard way (two knee replacements) that you have to listen to your body.  You make modifications to accommodate your limitations, however you can still challenge yourself physically.  I look forward to working together and am committed to helping you achieve your goals and becoming your best self!

FAVORITE MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES

The harder you work for something, the greater the reward when you achieve it.

“I have been weight training with Sue Gabrione for a little over 2 years. I couldn’t be happier with the level of expertise and motivation she provides. She is very knowledgeable and offers the right amount of challenge and push while keeping in mind her clients abilities. I’ve been very pleased with the gains in strength and endurance that I have achieved since working with Sue. She’s also very attentive and I love that she changes things up continuously to keep her clients engaged. I’ve learned a lot from Sue.”
